NURTURING MINDS, GROWING LEADERS,
& FOSTERING COMMUNITY
Help us plant Yuma's first community garden.
WHY WE DO THIS WORK
We're the Growing Forward Garden Project, a new Yuma nonprofit building a community garden that doubles as an outdoor classroom. Youth programs are at its heart. We'll teach young people what grows in our desert climate and how to plant, tend, and harvest it. Along the way, they'll gain lifelong skills like responsibility, teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership.
WHY YUMA NEEDS THIS GARDEN
We live in one of the country's most productive growing regions, yet few of us get to learn it firsthand, especially our kids. We're creating Yuma's first garden, built around youth and open to gardeners of all ages. It will be a place where we learn what thrives here, share what we know across generations, and grow together.
HOW YOU HELP US GROW
We're starting from the ground up. Your gift will help us:
- Securing a site for the garden
- Purchasing seeds, soil, and essential equipment
- Preparing the garden for our first growing season
